Flying Commercially into Winnipeg: We will have our driver waiting for you right at the luggage claim at the airport. Private
Flying Privately on wheels: For those that fly into Lac Du Bonnet (CYAX) on private plane, our float planes will literally be a few hundred yards from your landing strip. There is a 3,604 ft asphalt landing strip at CYAX.
Flying Privately on floats: You can fly directly to Aikens if you have your own float plane! Our GPS coordinates are: N51.203980, W95.310352. The lodge is located on the large peninsula on the NE side of the lake.

Blue Water Aviation Silver Falls is approximately 90 minutes Northeast of Winnipeg on Highway 11.
Blue Water Aviation Bissett is approximately 180 minutes Northeast of Winnipeg on Highway 304
DIRECTIONS FROM WINNIPEG TO SILVER FALLS, MB
- Enter Winnipeg on the 75, quickly turn right (East) on the perimeter highway 101
- Turn left on Hwy. 59 (North) and leave Winnipeg
- After about 45-60 minutes on 59, take a right turn (East) on Hwy. 304
- About another 20 minutes to Hwy. 11, where you turn right again (south)
- (If you go over the big dam, you went too far!)
- Drive six miles to Silver Falls. Blue Water Aviation is located one half-mile south of Silver Falls on the Winnipeg River.
- The trip once you leave Winnipeg is about 80 miles (approximately an hour and a half drive)

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS NEAR BLUE WATER AVIATION:
Silver Falls : If you plan to arrive to Silver Falls later than 4:00 p.m., then an overnight stay will be required. The closest hotel to Silver Falls is in Pine Falls (5 minutes North of the float base). The Papertown Motor Inn offers clean rooms at affordable rates. They are situated on the corner of highways 304 and 11. If you would like us to book the rooms for you, we would me more than happy to. If you have some time before your flight to Aikens, check out the Winnipeg River Heritage Museum (19 Baie Caron South, St. Georges, MB). It's located just a few minutes from the Silver Falls float base in the neighbouring town of St. Georges. The museum's exhibits and interactive displays capture the spirit of the people who have endured and thrived on the river for generations.
