Rookie guide training going well

August 1st, 2005

At the beginning of the year, we had hired two loggers (Kik and Dan) and a dockhand (Andre). We are now on the verge of having three new Pro-Staff guides! All three have excelled in their work here, and now they have decided that they would like to become guides next year! They’ve been out fishing almost every night, and they keep landing big fish! This new crop of guides will be raring to go next spring. Keep up the good work boys!

Dylan nails his boardfish

August 1st, 2005

Dylan Lefevre came to Aikens to fish with his grandparents, Phil and Sue Pelanek. They fished with Turbo in the big 4-seater for the trip. Dylan kept landing slot walleye after slot walleye but could never reach the magical 28″ barrier. Tonight being their last, Dylan and his family rushed through supper and got on the lake first. They raced over to the South Arm and did it ever payoff! On only the second fish of the night, Dylan had become a Master Angler! The only thing bigger than the 28″ beauty pictured above is Dylan’s smile! A presentation of mug and 8×10 picture was made in “Big Molly’s Clubroom” and every guest and staff member there was genuinely thrilled for Dylan. Congratulations on the big fish and all those high-fives!
