The Aikens season opens on May 21st

January 25th, 2004

For those of you interested in coming for some early season fishing action, the season will be opening on May 21st this year. Our first trophy of the season last year was a walleye caught on May 17th. Last year the water levels started off extremely low and stayed that way all season. With the increased snowfall this winter, we anticipate a normal water level, so all of those “new” rocks that we found last year will once again be 4-6 feet under the water. It will be smooth sailing all summer!

Baby Annika is born!

For those of you who saw Julie over the summer, you know that the pregnancy was still in it’s early stages and she was not showing very much. Well, fast forward 9 months and she is back down to size! Pit and Julie’s first child was born this morning at 7:28. Annika Danielle Turenne weighed 6lbs, 13 oz. She measured just under 20″. Mother and daughter are doing fine. Dad needs a bit of recovery time! All three look forward to seeing their friends at Aikens in the summer!
