The Lake Cadillac! Luxurious Lund Alaskan Guide Boats (50 & 60hp): During your stay at Aikens, you will have the opportunity and choice to fish with our Pro-Staff guides. Each guide is assigned a 16-ft. Lund Alaskan Guide boat with 50hp engine to fish with two guests every day. Note: We also have 18 foot Lunds with 60hp engines also available to take 3 guests per day (please ask in advance). These luxurious guide boats have an ultra-smooth ride and padded vinyl swivel-seats, and a walk-through floor design (no benches!) The Alaskans feature a power-trimmed 4-stroke engines, 55 lbs. thrust MinnKota trolling motor, LMS 332-C Lowrance depth finders and automatic live wells. They also have “unsung” features that will enhance your experience such as splash guards, Stow-Master nets, reliable Optima batteries, and a safety kit.
 

Extremely sturdy and safe, these boats are the ideal platform from which one can enjoy a comfortable, effective and safe outing on the lake. Your guide(s) will be waiting for you each morning at the dock in their incredible Lund Alaskan boats! Comfortable Alumarine Boats for the unguided fisherman (15hp): In the evenings (or during the day if you choose to fish unguided), our dockhand will have a 16 ft. Alumarine boat ready for your fishing expedition! These Alumarine boats have a Deep-V hull designed to safely cut through waves. They are equipped with 15hp. four-stroke that are very reliable and much better for the environment! They all have spring-ride swivel seats and casting decks. All boats are furnished with a landing net, paddles, an anchor, and a safety kit. Life jackets and coolers are available free of charge at our bait and tackle shop. Also, if you would like to go out three in a boat our dockhand would be more than happy to add that extra seat for you!

Platinum Upgrade Boats (30hp): The “No-Frills Platinum Package” is a very popular addition to your “Aikens Experience”. As part of this upgrade package, you will have to opportunity to use our previous guide boats for your unguided day or evening fishing. As a lodge, we used these wonderful aluminum boats for our guides up until 2006, the year we purchased of our current Lund fleet. Back in 2000, after consultation with our guides about what they would like and need in a boat, we ordered 6 custom-built boats. They have everything the Alumarines have, but in addition there is a casting deck and pedestal seat in the front, along with a mounted depth finder and wave wackers. However, the thing that most people will love is that each boat has a 30 hp Yamaha engine on the back. This cuts your travel time and allows you more time with your lure in the water in front of the incredible schools of fish at Aikens Lake!
