TWO Options in 2013: OPTION #1: July 9-14, 2013: 32nd annual Canadian Cornhusker Clinical Conference hosted at Aikens Lake
http://www.cornhusker-canadian-conference.org/ Sponsored by the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership, the Cornhusker-Canadian Clinical Conference (CCCC) features practical presentations by internationally recognized lecturers and researchers. For the past three decades, clinicians from various specialties have shared their knowledge and expertise while experiencing some spectacular fly-in fishing in Northern Manitoba. The course and seminars are all fully accredited and total 16 hours of CME credits every year. We are pleased to announce that Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge has been selected as the new host of this esteemed medical conference beginning in 2013. This summer’s dates will be July 9to 14, 2013. Participants can book directly with the lodge and deposits and balances can be paid by credit card or check. Logistics are easy – no overnight stays required if you fly to Winnipeg commercially! Alternatively, people can drive up to our float base located in Silver Falls, MB (90 minutes NE of Winnipeg). The Papertown Inn is located only 5 minutes from the float base. Organizers who scouted Aikens Lake in 2012 were blown away with the modern facilities, the spectacular accommodations, the luxury boats, and the incredible customer service… not to mention the amount and size of fish they reeled in! We are extremely confident that the CCCC and Aikens Lake will raise the bar to new heights in terms of overall experience for all attendees – not only for the physicians but also for their spouses, children, grandchildren, and friends who also attend. Misconception Breaker for new attendees: The conference is certainly not limited to physicians from the Cornhusker state! In fact, more than half the participants are from other states ranging as far as Pennsylvania to the east and Nevada to the west. Physicians from all over the US and Canada are invited to not only attend, but also participate in the 5 day event. All of the hour-long seminars are given live and in-person by attendees of the conference, and the topics cover a wide array of specialties. Those attending are encouraged to present if they are interested in doing so. Advantages to the 2013 CCCC @ Aikens: -Hands-on learning environment with a few dozen peers in attendance to add to the live speakers. -Easier logistics and quicker travel times (no overnight stays required if flying commercially to Winnipeg) -World-class walleye and pike lake. We also have lake trout, whitefish, and perch in our lake. -Modern accommodations and facilities, including full WiFi access and free phones to call home. -Luxury guide boats (Lund Alaskan 1600 and 1800’s with 50 and 60hp engines) for daytime fishing, and Alumarine evening fishing boats available to go back out on your own until dusk (around 10PM in early July) -Energetic, vibrant, and intelligent guides to bring you to the bounties of the Aikens Lake fish populations -World-class customer service throughout the camp – from the guides to the dock to the housekeepers to the kitchen to the bartenders in Big Molly’s Bar. You will be very well taken care of! -All-inclusive Platinum Lite formula means you don’t need to worry about bringing much more than your clothing and a toothbrush. The only thing you pay for at the end of the trip is all beer/alcohol purchases (outside of our complimentary happy hour, of course!) We supply all your fishing gear, tackle, and bait as well. -We look forward to having you see firsthand what our “Aikens Experience” is really like! Note that Aikens Lake is very flexible for many things like dietary needs or your trip length. For those that would like to stay longer, we can accommodate extra days either before or after the conference. Feel free to call/email us anytime with questions. For more information, don’t hesitate to call us. Alternatively, you can also contact: http://www.cornhusker-canadian-conference.org/
