| BOATSSafe, Comfortable Boats: During your stay at Aikens, you will be assigned one 16-ft. Alumarine Pro-Guide boat for every two people in your party. Even if you are guided during the daytime, you will surely be catching big fish in these boats during your evening fishing (the sun stays out as late as 10:30 PM in June!). These Alumarine boats have a deep-vee hull designed to cut through waves and they are very sturdy. They are equipped with new 15 h.p. four-stroke engines that are very reliable and much better for the environment! If you are wondering about comfort, our boats have ultra-smooth springride swivel seats with backs, and all have floorboards. All boats also have a landing net, paddles, an anchor, and a safety kit. Life jackets and coolers are available free of charge at our bait and tackle shop. Also, if you would like to go out three in a boat our dockhand would be more than happy to add that extra seat for you!

Luxurious Guide Boats: We are now able to provide for you, our valued guest, an even more comfortable day on the lake with your guide! Starting this summer, our guides will be waiting for you in their brand new 16' Lund Alaskans! The open-floor concept allows for easy mobility around the boat without having to step over benches. The new 40 hp Yamahas on the back are sure to speed you to any location on the lake in no time! Electric motors will allow you to remain silently above those huge schools of walleyes. No more spooking those fish in shallow water or at the South Arm! We are thrilled to be able to provide this to you without having to raise the price of a guide day! So kick up your feet and enjoy your day of guided fishing in our luxurious fleet of Alaskan Boats!!!
Upgrades: With a new fleet of guide boats in 2005 (see above), we have converted the the old guide boats into upgrades! After consultation with our guides about what they would like and need in a new boat, these boats were custom-built for us in 2000. They have everything the Alumarines have, but in addition there is a casting deck and pedestal seat in the front, along with a mounted depth finder and wave wackers. However, the thing that most people will love is that each boat has a 30 hp Yamaha engine on the back. You no longer have to be the first one on the water to get to your favorite spot first! Cost of upgrade boat in 2005 = $75 USD per day.
